The Pāhala Recycling and Transfer Station will be temporarily closed from Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 for the completion of emergency repairs.
The closure is necessary to address subsidence issues behind the chute retaining wall and ensure safety of facility users and staff.
To accommodate the community during this period, the Department of Environmental Management will provide additional operating days for the facility on Saturday, April 18 and Saturday, April 25.
The department apologizes for the inconvenience as it works to restore safe operating conditions.
