ESSENTIAL WATER NEEDS ONLY – REMINDER
AFFECTED AREA: ALL DEPARTMENT OF WATER SUPPLY CUSTOMERS
This is a Department of Water Supply (DWS) reminder for Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Until further notice, all Department of Water Supply Customers are reminded to use water for Essential Needs Only. The impacts of Hurricane Lala have caused power outages islandwide, are affecting DWS ability to operate normally, and in some locations have caused no water or low pressure situations. Essential needs are for drinking, cooking, or personal hygiene only. Limiting water use to essential needs only will conserve the water in DWS’ reservoirs until operations can return to normal.
